Doug Gorman, Principled Conservative and Successful Small-Business Owner, Announces Run for Warren County Judge/Executive
Bowling Green, KY (November 1, 2021) – Doug Gorman, a trusted business and community leader in Warren County, announced today he has filed a letter of intent to run for the Republican nomination for Warren County Judge/Executive. Doug currently serves in county government as First District Magistrate and is frequently called on to lead some of the biggest economic development projects in the area.
“For the last 40 years, I’ve worked for a stronger, safer and more prosperous Warren County for my family and yours,” said Gorman. “I’m running to be the next Warren County Judge/Executive to help make this community the best place to live, work, worship and play, and to protect our conservative values and way of life. Warren County families deserve top-tier infrastructure, beautiful parks and public spaces, safe streets and thriving workplaces. I’m ready to get to work to make them all a reality.
“I don’t shy away from the big jobs, whether that’s growing a small business or leading the $350 million revitalization of downtown Bowling Green. I promise to build on that experience to deliver for your family. By bringing together leaders from the county, the city and WKU, we can pull together the top talent our community has to offer.”
Gorman’s announcement follows long-time Warren County Judge/Executive Mike Buchanon’s recent announcement that he will not run for office again.
“Warren County would not be what it is today without Mike Buchanon’s tireless work and leadership,” added Gorman. “I plan to build upon his pro-growth policies that support our families and our future. I’m excited to begin this campaign and to share my vision with everyone who calls Warren County home. Go to VoteDougGorman.com to learn more and to join our team.”
Tommy Adams, prominent Warren County leader who served as Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman, joins the campaign as Treasurer.
“Doug Gorman’s long list of accomplishments have resulted in more jobs, bigger paychecks and a brighter future for Warren County. I couldn’t be prouder to support his campaign,” said Adams. “Doug is a trusted and proven leader in Warren County who will be ready to defend our values, keep our streets safe and deliver results on his first day in office.”
Mike Murphy, CEO of The Murphy Construction Group, also endorses Doug’s campaign.
"I've known Doug since he was 20 years old and a student at WKU. I've watched his growth as a businessman and a community leader,” said Murphy. “His enthusiasm for the success of our county is contagious and I'm looking forward to his leadership and vision"
